Hailey

Hello, and thanks a million for landing here on my webpage! Hiking with Hailey is a project that I hope to transform into a full-time career.

My partner (Macy) and I have been together since July 2014. Her family introduced me to camping and kayaking early into our relationship and now I love to plan our own camping, backpacking, and kayaking trips. Utilizing trip planning software like Roadtrippers and Google My Maps sparked my interest in maps and ultimately led me to take an introductory class in geographic information systems (GIS) which taught me the basics of making maps! 

Traveling to local, state, and National Parks has only reinforced my love for maps. I created an NPS-themed map of the trip we took for our 10th anniversary that we could hang in our bedroom and completing the map encouraged me to create maps for others!

Inevitably, my love for travel-oriented maps comes with a love for using maps to create itineraries that pack the most exploration into my limited supply of vacation time. It's like a puzzle to me! In creating this travel blog, I hope to ease the burden of trip planning on folks who simply don't have the time to plan such a detailed itinerary by posting my itineraries, travel tips I've learned along the way, and more.
